Combat rules answer

My 5/5 was blocked by a 2/2 and a 3/3. Who assigns the combat damage?

Answer

The attacking creature's controller chooses. The engine's default assigns 2 damage to the 2/2 and 3 to the 3/3, so all three creatures die after the blockers deal 5 back.

Why

The attacking creature's controller chooses how its 5 combat damage is divided between the two blockers.

This board uses the engine's lethal-first default: 2 damage to the 2/2 and 3 to the 3/3. Each blocker also deals its full power to the attacker, for 5 total damage.

Assigning all 5 damage to the 2/2 is also legal. With that choice, the 3/3 survives.
